TL;DR Analog Devices agreed to acquire Alif Semiconductor for $1.35 billion in upfront cash plus up to $200 million in contingent consideration. The combination would pair ADI sensing, power and signal processing with low-power AI microcontrollers and fusion processors. Closing is expected before the end of 2026, subject to regulatory and other conditions; the acquisition is not complete.

TL;DR Google announced €13 billion of investment over the next 2 years in Finnish digital infrastructure, clean energy and local partnerships. This expands the foundations for AI demand; the entire amount is not a GPU order. For chip suppliers, commissioning and server deployment dates matter more than treating the headline investment as immediate revenue.

TL;DR Xanadu and ASML announced a collaboration on lithography for photonic quantum hardware. Because line-edge roughness can affect optical loss, they will explore improved patterning control for lower-loss structures. The agreement does not establish a measured loss reduction or demonstrate commercial fault-tolerant quantum computing.

TL;DR NVIDIA and Australian partners including Firmus, IREN and NEXTDC are pursuing up to 2GW of AI infrastructure by 2027. The announcement covers land, power and shell capacity designed for DSX infrastructure, with partners operating the facilities. The 2GW target is neither currently operating GPU capacity nor a disclosed amount of NVIDIA revenue.

TL;DR Kioxia CEO Hiroo Ota told Bloomberg that the company was not discussing joint production with SK hynix. He also emphasized restraining memory-price increases that could damage long-term AI demand. The trade-off is between earning more per chip and keeping customers able to fund their next infrastructure build.
